Abstract
The article deals with popular customs and the attitude of monotheistic religions towards them, which are scattered throughout the work of the 10th-century Arab geographer al-Muqaddasī (also known as al-Maqdisī) in his book Aḥsan at-taqāsīm fī maʿrifat al-aqālīm.
