Failaka Island – Kuwait: An Island of al-Ḫiḍr, the Green Man or Elias, the Servant of God

Shrines of al-Ḫiḍr are to be found throughout the Middle East. The article describes one of these shrines called Maqām al-Ḫiḍr, which is a major shrine on the north-west side of Failaka Island, just off mainland Kuwait.
