Abstract

The Cairo Genizah, which was transferred from Cairo to Cambridge by Solomon Schechter in 1887, has not only brought to our attention known and unknown works and correspondence by well-known personalities as well as common people, but has also provided us with important information about their daily life and milieu. Mosheh ben Maimon, or Maimonides, is one of them. After a brief classification of the Genizah documents related to Maimonides, the article presents an analysis of one such document, a hitherto unknown message by Maimonides.
