Mysterious Alloys in Early Muslim Metallurgy: On the ṭāliqūn and the haft-ǧūš

Abstract
In early Muslim science, several metals or alloys were known, or at least referred to, the names of which are very hard to identify now, and we do not know with certainty of any objects made from them. Perhaps the most obscure of those is the so-called ṭāliqūn, which is the focus of the article.
