Bayṭār: Enigma of a Fāṭimid Potter

Abstract
The article tries to shed light on the identity of an early Fāṭimid potter who signed his works as ʿAlī (al-)Bayṭār. Additionally, it provides a detailed description of a large luster-painted jar of the Tareq Rajab Museum in Kuwait, which bears the signature of this potter.
