Current Trends in the Study of Hispano-Arabic Literature. The Problem of the Distinctiveness of the Individual Andalusian Poet: The Case of the Poet Muḥammad b. Idrīs b. Marǧ al-Kuḥl (d. 634 H)

The article analyses the poems of the Andalusian poet, Muḥammad b. Idrīs b. Marǧ al-Kuḥl (d. 634/1236) and especially the reoccurrence of three characteristic features of his poetry: i.e., the manneristic play with metaphors, the mention of Bedouin names, and the emphatic usage of symmetric patterns.
