Abstract

The concepts concerning the Day of Judgement, Reward and Punishment, Immortality of the Soul, Resurrection, Reincarnation, and, of course, Paradise and Hell are generally shared by Judaism and Islam, as part of their view of eschatology. That is to say, the idea of life after death and the pleasures of Paradise, as opposed to the sufferings in Hell, are repeatedly emphasized by the two religions, giving the believers of the two faiths something to look for and to look forward to. The article sets out to explore the similarities and differences between the related terminologies and concepts of the two faiths.
