Abstract
Fifteen memos/transport certificates from the Denise Rémondon collection (Louvre Museum, Department of Islamic Arts), written in 957/1550 for the loading of the harvest – probably linen or clover – from Šarāra (al-Ašmūnayn, Egypt), are studied in the article using a holistic approach that combines, in the document analysis, the text with the clues provided by paleographic study and the observation of its material aspects (paper, perforations, …).
