Abstract
The Kitāb al-Mandal as-sulaymānī is a book of exorcism. It gathers formulas, words, recipes, materials, etc., against the evils caused by djinns and for protection against them. The present note focuses on a short passage of this text found in manuscript No. 2774 of the Great Mosque of Sanaa. The purpose of the article is to briefly place it in the overall movement of the book as it has been transmitted to us, to pose some questions about versions/filiations of the Mandal and the establishment of the text, to provide an annotated edition followed by a summary, and then to question the status of these pages in terms of the history of copying within this manuscript.
