Des lièvres et des djinns : notice sur une amulette préislamique dans les sources arabes

Abstract
Amulets and talismans are often mentioned in the Arab tradition. The habit of hanging the hock of a hare (taʿlīq kaʿb al-arnab) is mentioned in various sources, in prose and poetry, which are presented and studied to conclude that they show a desire to mark a clear divide between pre- and post-revelation in a culture which, on the other hand, shows a sometimes astonishing continuity in the field of beliefs, rites and institutions.
