Texts on the Early Hungarians in the Ǧayhānī Tradition: Review Article

The review article provides an in-depth analysis of István Zimonyi’s book entitled Muslim Sources on the Magyars in the Second Half of the 9th Century. The Magyar Chapter of the Jayhānī Tradition. (East Central and Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages, 450–1450, 35), Leiden–Boston, Brill, 2016, which presents an account of the Magyars in the ninth and tenth centuries, mainly before their arrival and final settlement in their present-day habitat in Central Europe.
